Provider and agreement
Bump Echo is provided by Kenneth Marcel S De Geest, a self-employed developer based in Spain. Contact: degeestkenneth@gmail.com. By downloading or using Bump Echo, you agree to these terms and Apple’s applicable App Store terms.
What Bump Echo does
Bump Echo is a personal pregnancy audio keepsake. It lets you record ordinary microphone audio, add titles and notes, organise a private Soundbook, replay memories and share individual recordings when you choose.
Not a medical device or medical advice
Bump Echo does not identify or isolate a fetal heartbeat, measure fetal heart rate, monitor fetal movement, diagnose a condition, provide medical advice or assess pregnancy or fetal wellbeing. Phone microphones cannot reliably perform those functions.
Do not use Bump Echo to make healthcare decisions or delay professional care. If you have concerns about pregnancy, pain, bleeding, reduced movement or your baby’s wellbeing, contact an appropriate qualified healthcare professional or local emergency service.
Eligibility and acceptable use
You may use Bump Echo for personal, lawful purposes. If you are under the age required to enter a binding agreement where you live, you may use the app only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
You must not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, violate another person’s rights, or record or share someone without the permission required by applicable law. You are responsible for the recordings and notes you create and how you share them.
Your recordings
You retain ownership of the audio, titles and notes you create. You give Bump Echo only the limited permission needed to process that content locally and perform the features you request. Bump Echo does not claim ownership of your memories.
Recordings are stored locally. Keep independent copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. Device damage, app removal, storage failure, an interrupted recording or software errors may cause content to become unavailable. Recovery cannot be guaranteed.
Lifetime access and purchases
Where offered, Bump Echo Lifetime unlocks the Soundbook with a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. It has no recurring charge, renewal or scheduled expiry. The product and localised price are shown before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm.
Use Restore Purchases with the same Apple Account to restore eligible access on a compatible device. Restoring access does not restore recordings or notes. Access may be removed if Apple refunds or revokes the purchase.
Buying lifetime access does not automatically cancel an existing subscription or refund earlier subscription payments.
Existing subscriptions
Existing active subscriptions continue according to their original billing terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current billing period ends. Deleting Bump Echo does not cancel a subscription. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple.
Refunds and consumer rights
Apple handles App Store billing and refund requests. You can request a refund through Apple; eligibility depends on the purchase, App Store rules and consumer law. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
Licence, intellectual property and services
Bump Echo’s software, design, illustrations, text and brand are protected by intellectual-property law. You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app subject to these terms and Apple’s Usage Rules. The Apple Standard EULA also applies.
Bump Echo relies on Apple, RevenueCat and Google Firebase for purchases, access status, analytics, diagnostics and reliability. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies.
Updates and availability
Features may be improved, changed, suspended or discontinued. Reasonable efforts are made to keep Bump Echo available and reliable, but uninterrupted, secure or error-free operation is not guaranteed. Updates may be required to continue using the app or purchased features.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bump Echo is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. The provider is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of recordings, or loss arising from reliance on the app as a health or medical tool.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability where doing so is prohibited or limits mandatory consumer rights.
Termination, law and changes
You may stop using Bump Echo at any time. Your right to use it may be suspended or terminated if you materially breach these terms. Ending app use does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain without removing mandatory protections available under the law of your country of residence. Terms may be updated when the app, purchases, providers or legal requirements change.
