Who provides Bump Echo
Bump Echo is provided by Kenneth Marcel S De Geest, a self-employed developer based in Spain. Privacy and support questions may be sent to degeestkenneth@gmail.com.
Information stored on your device
The app stores the profile details you enter, including a parent name, optional baby name, estimated due date, onboarding preferences and language preference. It also stores your audio recordings, recording dates and durations, titles, notes, favourites, search state and other settings needed to operate your Soundbook.
This content is stored in the app’s local storage on your iPhone. Bump Echo does not upload recordings, titles, notes, names or pregnancy details to a developer-operated server.
Microphone access
Bump Echo requests microphone permission only when you choose to record. Audio is captured to create the memory you requested. You can change microphone access at any time in iOS Settings.
Important: The microphone-level display represents ordinary audio input strength. Bump Echo does not identify a fetal heartbeat, measure heart rate, diagnose a condition or assess pregnancy or fetal wellbeing.
Sharing and device backups
Nothing is shared automatically. When you use the iOS share sheet, the selected audio file is passed to the app, service or recipient you choose; their privacy practices then apply. Copies already shared are outside Bump Echo’s control.
Apple device or iCloud backups may include app data depending on your Apple settings. Apple processes backup information under its own privacy terms.
Analytics, diagnostics and purchases
Bump Echo uses Firebase Analytics for general product interactions, Firebase Crashlytics for reliability diagnostics, RevenueCat for purchase and entitlement status, and Apple for StoreKit transactions, billing, refunds and purchase restoration.
Depending on the service and your settings, these providers may process pseudonymous identifiers, app interaction events, device and operating-system information, country or region, crash logs, diagnostics, purchase events and access status. They do not receive your recordings, titles, notes, names or due date from the app.
Bump Echo does not receive full payment-card details, sell personal information or use app data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
How information is used
Information is processed only as needed to provide and personalise the Soundbook, record and replay audio, save and organise memories, share content at your request, verify access, restore purchases, maintain security, diagnose crashes, understand feature usage, provide support and improve Bump Echo.
Retention and deletion
Local recordings and related details remain on your device until you delete an individual memory or remove the app. An unfinished but playable recording may be recovered after an unexpected app exit so it is not silently lost.
Removing the app normally removes its local container, but device backups and previously shared copies must be managed separately. Firebase, RevenueCat and Apple retain limited service information according to their own rules and legal obligations. Because Bump Echo has no user account or developer-hosted recording library, the developer cannot remotely access or delete content that exists only on your device.
Security, international processing and children
Bump Echo uses iOS storage and platform security features intended to protect local information. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Service providers may process technical and purchase information outside your country, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
Bump Echo is intended for expecting parents and families, not children under 13. A minor should use the app only with permission and appropriate supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
Your choices and rights
You can deny or revoke microphone permission, edit profile information, delete memories, remove the app, choose whether to share a recording, and manage subscriptions through your Apple Account settings. Lifetime purchases do not renew. Buying lifetime access does not cancel an existing subscription.
For a privacy request or question, contact degeestkenneth@gmail.com. Requests concerning Apple, Firebase or RevenueCat data may also need to be directed to that provider.
Changes
This policy may be updated when Bump Echo’s features, service providers or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
