Provider
Oqvi is provided by Kenneth Marcel S De Geest, a self-employed developer based in Spain. Contact: degeestkenneth@gmail.com.
What Oqvi does
Oqvi uses submitted photos to suggest trees, plants, leaves, bark, flowers and wood; provides educational context and AI-assisted answers; and lets you save discoveries, photos, notes, favorites, exports and private map locations.
Identification and safety limitations
Identification and AI results are automated suggestions and may be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Similar species, image quality, regional variation, processed timber, seasonal changes and incomplete context can reduce accuracy.
Do not rely on Oqvi to decide whether something is edible, poisonous, allergenic, invasive, protected, suitable for medicine, safe to burn, structurally sound or appropriate for construction or land management. Confirm important decisions with a qualified local expert and authoritative sources. If exposure or poisoning may have occurred, contact an appropriate medical professional, poison service or emergency service immediately.
Your content and private collection
You retain ownership of the photos, notes and other content you create. You give Oqvi and its service providers only the limited permission needed to process content for features you request, such as identification, AI answers, mapping, export or sharing.
Your collection is primarily stored on your device. Keep independent copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. Device damage, app removal, storage failure, software errors or an incomplete backup may cause content to become unavailable. Recovery cannot be guaranteed.
You are responsible for having permission to photograph, record locations on or share material involving private property, protected areas, other people or content owned by someone else.
Free experience and subscriptions
Oqvi allows one completed identification without a subscription. You can keep viewing that discovery and ask follow-up questions about it, subject to reasonable service limits. Any further identification request—including a new scan after replacing or adding photos to the first discovery—requires an active subscription. Deleting or reinstalling the app does not reset the free allowance.
Oqvi offers monthly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions. Eligible new yearly subscribers may receive the introductory trial shown in the app’s current purchase screen. The exact billing period, localized price and any trial eligibility appear before you buy in Oqvi and on Apple’s purchase confirmation sheet.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Apple may charge the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel through your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Use Restore Purchases in Oqvi to restore an eligible active subscription.
- Billing, cancellations and refunds are handled by Apple under applicable App Store rules and consumer law.
Acceptable use
You may use Oqvi for personal, lawful purposes. You must not attempt unauthorized access, bypass usage or subscription controls, interfere with the app or its providers, automate abusive request volumes, submit illegal or harmful material, infringe another person’s rights or use results to facilitate harm.
If you are under the age required to enter a binding agreement where you live, use Oqvi only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
App licence and intellectual property
Oqvi, including its software, design, text, brand, illustrations and other original materials, is protected by intellectual-property law. You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use it on Apple-branded devices you own or control, subject to these terms and Apple’s Usage Rules.
The Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If these terms conflict with mandatory Apple terms, the mandatory Apple terms control.
Third-party services and sources
Oqvi relies on services and information from Apple, Supabase, Pl@ntNet, OpenAI, RevenueCat, Google Firebase and linked educational sources. Their own terms and policies apply. Results, source pages, purchases, maps and online features may be delayed, changed, limited or unavailable because of connectivity, regional availability, quotas or provider decisions.
Updates and availability
Features, supported categories, providers, limits and subscription offerings may be improved, changed, suspended or discontinued. Reasonable efforts are made to keep Oqvi useful and reliable, but uninterrupted, secure or error-free operation is not guaranteed. Updates may be required for continued use.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Oqvi is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. The provider is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of local content, or loss arising from reliance on an identification, AI answer, map, linked source or unavailable service.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability where doing so is prohibited or limits mandatory consumer rights available to you.
Termination
You may stop using Oqvi at any time. Access may be suspended or terminated if you materially breach these terms or misuse online services. Ending use or deleting the app does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without removing mandatory protections or rights you have under the law of your country of residence. A dispute may be brought before a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law.
Changes and contact
These terms may be updated when Oqvi, its subscriptions, service providers or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes will apply prospectively as required by law.
