Three months of migraine history, on one quiet page.

Mark headache days and severity without writing a full entry every day. Add detail only when it matters.

Use one consistent code

For example: leave a day blank when it was not recorded; use 1, 2 or 3 for mild, moderate or severe as you personally experienced it; add “M” only when you recorded medication use. Define your code at the top.

How to make the calendar useful

  1. Define what your severity codes mean to you.
  2. Mark entries consistently rather than reconstructing a month from memory.
  3. Keep a separate episode sheet when one day needs more context.
  4. Review totals and questions before an appointment; do not treat a visual pattern as proof of cause.

What a compact tracker leaves out

A calendar is good at frequency and rough severity. It is poor at showing duration, phases, symptoms, treatment timing and functional impact. If those details matter, pair it with an episode log or an app. A blank day must also remain distinct from a confirmed symptom-free day.
